Awful management

Pros

Genuinely can't think of any.

Cons

Incredibly uninspiring company culture, unless you work in sales. Employees feel unbelievably under-valued. There is no morale or company culture to speak of. Different business units still operate very separately to each other. Wildly unfair salaries across the same job. No training, nobody to learn from, no career progression, no learning curve.

Pros

Star 1 - There are some really great contributing individuals at GlobalData Star 2 - Good office location

Cons

Unfortunately, I cannot think of anymore pros. - There are points of power within the business that are at an Exec level role, not because of their leadership qualities, but because they have worked in the sector for a number of years. This reflects across the whole business, lack of innovation, lack of direction and lack of clarity - The turnover is absolutely dreadful, something like 70% churn rate. This is due to: No tea or coffee facilities, you have to pay for everything Dirty toilets Old fashioned facilities, not up to the correct standard of ergonomics 09:00 - 18:00 working time with no flexibility Inappropriate sales leaders (this is a large, global corporation) Small, inexperienced HR team who lack direction No employee engagement or recognition for high achievement (apart from sales) Lack of progression for all roles No benefits 20 days holiday and 3 of those days must be taken at Christmas No training or development programmes

Healthcare - REAL REVIEW - BDM

Pros

Some good directors, great products and global company.

Cons

Directors always leave great reviews after bad ones, showing that they cannot take criticism or suggestion to change. Sadly all the bad reviews are true. "CASUAL RACISM" is allowed because they consider people with high sells revenue "successful". Do not bother to complain or you might end up fired ( I saw a great salesman, person and academic fired for this reason). Lack of real knowledge (most of them do not have even a degree), "Poor version of Wolf of wall street", they use 6 figures commission as a bait, the reality is much different. KPI are unrealistic for those that works there for the first 6 months, obviously you will find some sales man that makes it but some of them will lie to the client and co-workers all the way. Even if you make the sale, directors or other Manager next to them can overturn and decide who will get the commission, ending up with some people doing the work and others taking their commission. Most of directors are good soldiers, they just follow orders from the top because they do not have to much knowledge to pass and they have become YES MAN. Management lies to client and employees. Some of the Managers that makes revenues have access to sales force tricks (i.e - changing the person entitled for the commission and ending up with a lot of promising executive fired to not hit the KPI and a huge turnover in employment ). Others have access to director phones, so that can have the qualified leads and easy sells. Meritocracy does not really exist, if they like you they will keep you even if you do not make a sell in 1 year. They will give world class training which consist in motivational speech and account pack. They hire people with the mindset of fired them, because the believe in fixed mindset and not growth-mindset.
