Pros

Great advancement opportunities, never dull, for a person who likes ever changing challenges, it's the place to work

Cons

Management turnover, immature processes (even the basic ones), leadership team that was brought in that may not have the right experience and background to run the company, a few executives (VP and up) who are simply poor leaders

Pros

The GF upper management is more forthcoming with information than previous IBM management. Lots of potential for this company if they stick to what they did before merger.

Cons

Some of the IBM upper management continues to stick to old ways, which keeps moral poor. People are having a tough time moving past this after the merger.

Pros

I am an IBMer whose division got bought over by Globalfoundries. I can't comment on the current at GF HQ at Malta, but the IBM culture, which is fantastic, still prevails in Hopewell Junction, NY. Great people to work with in a challenging environment with excellent work life balance

Cons

Pay isn't as competitive and because the company isn't exactly doing well, bonus's and raises are pretty bad.
