      Good place to work, but there are still some problems to sort out.

      Pros

      Good work load and work-life balance. I feel that I can do what I need to in order to get my job done with little management involvement unless necessary.

      Cons

      Communication between floor and engineering is still a problem, but some work is being done to try to improve this. Having to fit into a mold that fits all worldwide 300mm fabs can be frustrating. Most fabs run with system differences, so trying to fit in a mold is not easy nor the right decision in a lot of cases.

      Pros

      Flexible working hour with good work life balance. Colleagues are friendly and easy to work with in Fab 10 (East Fishkill). Most experienced process engineers are still with the company, which make transition easy for any new hires. However, many experienced development engineers have left the company (mostly Fab 8) due to recent announcement to drop 7nm development. Applications built in-house are some of the best in the industry.

      Cons

      High attrition rate in Fab 8 due to recent announcement to drop R&D on future nodes. Likely good long-term decision for the company. Need to hire more process engineers in Fab 10, as vacant jobs are not being filled. This means more workload for everyone w/ no compensation for additional workload. Fab 10 office building is in need of desperate roof repairs.
