      Need to see results in order not to give up

      Pros

      Some of the smartest people i have ever worked with. good exposure to new technologies and advance equipment. exciting to work in the most advanced fab in the world.

      Cons

      The only way to urge employees not to give up is to deliver results. it is okay to replace the entire fab management team with IBM managers but the fab must perform. the GM said the industry has ups and downs but so far we only see 'downs'. the employee morale is at the lowest point and they need to see results in order not to give up on fab 8. so far, nothing is looking good under the new management.

      lots of opportunities, good pay, lot of smart people

      Cons

      With same experience, IBM integration's title is 2 level higher than pre GF employees in average. I am not sure how this works. more chaos will be expected because of the title issue.

      Running high on bullying, discrimination & favoritism in my department

      Pros

      Advanced technology node Some departments had people with many years of experience and tons of knowledge in semiconductor industry

      Cons

      Ineffective communications in meetings. It is a 'melting pot' with no defined working culture. Everyone brings in his/her previous company working culture that created conflicts. Too many meetings. HR care less about employee's concerns or complaints Department ran by inexperienced managers who practiced favoritism & nepotism. Bullying and harassment in public. Discrimination in my department.
