Pros

Good and friendly co-workers on site.

Cons

-Management will expect you to know everything with minimal training -No forgiveness if you mess up. One screw up and management will watch you like a hawk -If you are a temp, they will drag their heels with hiring you full time. -12 hour days, barely any work. Management will not go the extra mile to find you any work. Too much down time -NO HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS OFF. 24/7 Management gets to have them off. But if it's christmas or thanksgiving. You are still working.

Pros

- Depending on your department, you work a normal 8-5pm (though you're on call if necessary). - You quickly become a contributor because the job is easy. - The cafe and general environment are very nice. - Diversity - There's very little traffic on the commute. - You stay very busy all day.

Cons

- Ratings are on a forced distribution so you may not get rated at what you deserve and your pay is based on this rating. - Most of the jobs can be done anywhere but working remotely is not allowed even though this could be a huge perk of working for a company that has the ability to offer this benefit. - You get paid less than what you're worth especially for NY taxes. That's the benefit of being the only large tech company in the area. - By definition, our company is solely a manufacturer in other company's technology so day to day tasks can get boring and repetitive. While more interesting tasks/projects are allowed, having the time to do anything other than the necessities is difficult unless you enjoy working very long hours. - Diversity can also be bad in that, some of the cultures at this company can make for a high stress environment.
