Pros

New Building. Close to General Electric, Funded by ATIC so they will not run out of money.

Cons

management is incompetent and hostile. Performance does not matter. The less you work and the more incompetent you are the more likely you get promoted.

Pros

This place is still very new and immature. tThe advantage of all the disorganization is you get to be a part of fixing the hundreds of efficiency problems there are in the business processes. In addition they have hired around 300 young engineers in the last 3 years, that makes the area very friendly and its easy to make friends if you're a young engineer. This place also never gets boring, there's a lot to learn and fix in a very short amount of time. Starting salary is reasonably competitive (but don't expect it to move much after).

Cons

Large amount of miscommunication between management and their employees. It has gotten better since the new GM took over but generally a lot of unawareness from higher up. Teamwork is not very good between Process, Equipment, and Maintenance organizations. Because of no clear responsibilities defined in some groups a lot problems (daily down issues) get shuffled back and forth between groups, lack of accountability for not doing your job also does not help. Yearly Compensation and raises are minimal. There's a lot of people who've been dealing with this place for 4-5 years and are completely jaded. Its tough to work in an environment when people are beginning to get less and less enthusiastic about fixing problems.
