Pros

*Techs and Engineers (what's left of people that have been here for several years) are very talented. *Amazing new equipment and tools. *Vendor support.

Cons

*Moral is the lowest I have ever seen anywhere. *Useless meetings. *HR *People are looking at other companies.Lunch it is open conversation about job opportunities at the competition. *People pretend to care just to save a job for the moment. *Management lies (Ask a hard question you know the answer to). *Vacation is not always the employees choice, it can be forced (4th of July, Christmas). Hard if you are not Christian and not from USA. *Hard to communicate about visa issues. Need to do much of the work yourself. *Parking is an event. *People coming in the door get more $ than the people that have been here. *Company will not give a definition of job or the pay range for each title. No clear path about how to advance. *Techs told to be quiet and do as they are told (Even if its wrong). *Credit not given for work done or tools supported *Often techs have the correct answer and are forced to do it wrong anyways! *Reviews are meaningless. Managers seem to have NO IDEA what people do daily and how hard they work! *Clock out for lunch (To ensure we get paid for all OUR time). *No respect for people with medical issues or having babies. *Safety is not adequate. They talk a big talk but there are safety issues everywhere of every kind! (google it) *Technicians treated as a lower class person than engineers or management. *False sense of urgency is imposed and people run around stressed out. IE: "The boy that called wolf" *Overall lack of respect to staff. management does not treat people like individuales. *Not all people managed the same way. One Dept can have a great manager (rare) and another have a bad one. *Department policies not consistent. *Departments have different policies (sick time, vacation, work practices, equality, respect, job roles, pay, etc) *Engineers overworked. *Learn to be quiet, say yes, grind out high volume of work and never make an impact. *No one listens to recommendations to improve. They nod and go on with business as usual. *3 GM's in 3 yrs (think about that one). *Attricain is said to be at 26% ! *Technicians treated as less of a person than engineers or management. *IBM is coming to the rescue! (It may be too late, we will see)... Sad that we needed to bring in this help when we had the talent on site but no one listened to the people with good ideas and solutions.

Pros

Most of the coworkers are great who came here to look for great opportunity.

Cons

Upper management at Malta is the worst I have ever seen. No focus on actual problem solving. More pressure on handful of people who actually work. You have to answer to too many people who actually don't do any work. For people who don't work excellent work life balance and free salary.

Pros

It is a new fab, and there are some opportunities, but the cons far outweigh the positives.

Cons

There are far too many problems here. 1. Management rules by intimidation and humiliation. They really have no idea how to command the respect of their employees; as a result moral could not be lower, and the turnover is horrific. Few of the original people are left; the ones that are still here have incredibly thick skins and can tolerate massive amounts of abuse. 2. Company lacks any real direction, they continue to grasp for a spot in the market, but have not been able to accomplish anything substantial. As a result their portfolio is fragmented, profits are but a dream, and raises are non-existent. 3. The cost of living here is very high, and compensation is below industry standard. The fab is located far away from any place that would be considered civilized. Night life and entertainment is nonexistent. 4. Safety, Not much effort expended here. There is some talk no real efforts expended on it. The safety dept has no experience, and although they try, they are not getting it right. There are already many reviews on this site, and most all say the same. The few positive reviews are from ringers from HR. This place is as bad as they say, beware, you have been warned.
