      Unfair company to the Prescott Valley office

      Having your weekends off to de stress from the job

      Working both on the sales floor and as a customer service representative in the Prescott valley office I have some words to say. If you work at the Phoenix office, your set. They treat their employees better down there, have more team involvement and team building in Phoenix. While the Prescott valley location is being more and more set up for failure. The CSR's work hard, looking over a team of 8-10 sales reps, booking, quoting, dispatching, routing, chasing down POD's and W&I's for all LTL freight in the PV office. The CSR's in the PV office deal with more LTL freight than the sales floor, some of the CSR's know the customers better than the sales reps do. Also only getting paid $12/$13 an hour to do all of this and hearing PHX CSR's get $16/ hr. Re structuring the sales floor pay and leaving the CSR's in the dust.

      Pros

      Situated in a nice building and location with lots of restaurants nearby for lunch or happy hours. High energy atmosphere in the office.

      Cons

      This company mass hired 30-40 people monthly and fired dozens every month as well for not meeting quota. A handful of people are extremely successful and they always will be because of their reputation, favoritism, and client base. However, everyone else is disposable. I see on LinkedIn that several of my old co-workers are long gone or at competitor's. Management is honestly pretty shady.

      Pros

      My experience with GlobalTranz has been all I could have hoped it would be and more. The opportunities for advancement and development are here. Many of those who are team leads or managers were promoted into those positions because our company believes in promotion from within. The newer managers are learning to be great. I love working for a company that can see the potential in the team members and help them get to the next level in their career. The environment is lively and fast paced. I can’t speak for all teams but my team works hard and we have fun. Our manager is very cool and always looks out for us. The company culture is great. There is a clinic onsite with a wonderful doctor. My hours are flexible and I get paid well.

      Cons

      The company seems to be going through a transition. There have been some key members of the leadership team who are no longer here. Some may see it as bad since many people are not fond of change. In some departments moral is low. As the company shifts to get to the next level there have been and will be growing pains. A new sales VP just started who seems to be just what we need to make it exciting to work here again. I love my job and will stick with GlobalTranz through the rough time.
