Pros

Remote work, great team, management is motivational, can be lucrative if the business you write doesn't fall off (people keep paying their monthly premiums)

Cons

No time for a life: 10 hour work days 6 (7 days encouraged) days per week. You'll face lots of rejection which is tough because you only get paid for selling insurance, but we tell people we are providing a free service such as giving out Will Kits in order to generate more leads. If clients miss their payments and you don't find a way to get them to pay, your check gets garnished each week in order to pay back the advance received for their business. This means you have to make enough sales in order to compensate for the bad business so a $700 sale can sometimes only payout $250 due to chargebacks.

Pyramid scheme

Business Outlook

Pros

I haven't found any yet.

Cons

It's a pyramid scheme. Management comes across as sleazy and uncaring. First thing we were told is we're not hiring all of you, because we want the ones we hire to get more. So right off the bat we were taught to be selfish and devalue fellow employees. The supervisors are incredibly elitist and condescending. You will get the impression they really don't care about anything but themselves. It felt cult-like. They say they want "positivity only" but what they mean is don't disagree with anything we say or you're gone. You're expected to work a lot for free.
