Pros

Love the customers...will miss them!

Cons

First of all, one star is too many! I basically ditto all of the previous "Cons". This company is one big CON where the seasonal employees are concerned. They promise the moon only to drop it like a bomb when it comes time to pay up (bonuses etc.) Overtime pay is non-existent (but expected) based on some lame percentage quotient...which I have to believe is illegal. Then they came up with a unrealistic year-end bonus review...after the year end. I received less than $18.00 from what should have been over $550.00. Horrible staffing budgets, stressing concerns over paychecks...some as much as 2 weeks late. Just unbelievable lack of concern about the people in the seasonal stores. The real kicker...I received a call from management, after all was said and done, asking how my season was! REALLY! For the record, I have been in retail for more years than I care to disclose so...for comparison's sake...this company fails miserably. BUYER BEWARE! (Or in this case, potential employee beware!)

Pros

It's pretty decent money for essentially two months of work, especially when just biding time between jobs. Probably depends on the location you get, though. Had to haggle a bit over the year-end bonus because of reconciliation discrepancies, but I was glad to have a reasonable resolution instead of a bloody fight.

Cons

They really throw you to the wolves. I applied one night, was hired via phone call the next day, had a crash course orientation the following day, and had to get my first (of two) location up within a week. The support folks in Austin (HQ) were nice enough, but it's a lot of trial-by-fire.

Pros

3 1/2 month seasonal retail operation. Good product lines and fairly priced. Concept draws quality customers who are fun to be around. Overall a very enjoyable seasonal job. Everything spelled out in their manuals and an excellent support staff available via phone.

Cons

Difficult to complete setup and teardown within the allowed budget. Compensation is on the very low end for what is expected and doing it right. I actually worked an extra 10 to 15 hours per week knowing that I would not be compensated. (Note; this was my decision and was not required by the company) Can't really increase the merchandise of the best selling items for your store - they have a system setup to do so, but something breaks down after you enter the 50 requests - think that it's a human who gets involved & has to APPROVE YOUR REQUESTS. He/she makes their decisions without any onsite information.
