Best Sales Job Ever

Pros

Great culture, and by culture, I mean the people here are truly awesome people. I've become good friends with many of the people I work with and legitimately enjoy spending time with them outside of work. Lots of growth opportunity for people who don't wait around for someone to offer them a promotion. If you own your own development and seek out growth and more responsibility, it's here for you. Good work/life balance. I've always been able to be at important family functions. And lastly, the technology GoEngineer sells is so cool, and the customers they work with are making some really interesting things. There's always something new to learn about.

Cons

Health insurance is good, but expensive if you are adding a family. Other benefits are great though. You also have to own your own development, which can be a bad thing for people who need a little more direction and hand holding. If you aren't willing to go outside of your comfort zone and reach out and ask for help and additional opportunities, you'll probably find yourself frustrated here.

Pros

The best culture of any company I have worked at. Its more about developing salespeople to create more opportunity for themselves. They have done a great job at setting up a process for entry level sales, through Enterprise level sales. They also have some of the best technical talent in the industry which is a big reason for their success. As a salesperson that is a huge benefit.

Cons

There isn't a lot to complain about with GoEngineer.

Pros

Flexibility to work on what you are passionate about. No micro management, yearly trips to Park City., Ability to contribute with technical digital content, and meet a plethora of customers to build personal relationships with

Cons

The role gets repetitive after 3 years and leads to stagnation. There is a need for continuous development. Compensation conversations should happen every year.
