Pros

Free gym membership Flexible hours Good networking opportunities Pay is negotiable-depending on your location

Cons

Limited room for advancement No raises Bonuses & base are cut depending on perfomance Sales associates create all of the value, but this is not reflected in the pay structure. Very political atmosphere- friends promote their friends Lots of unachievable goals & metrics- example 100 calls a day. How can you make that many calls and still sell memberships? Each membership takes about 1hr and a half to sell on average. Daily meetings that take away from selling time & accomplish little- they could send out an email.

Pros

members are fun, personable people do well in sales and management, free workouts, relaxed atmosphere, pay is good if you can sell above quota and get your team to reach its goal

Cons

quota driven and if results are not shown within 3 months, they will push you out the door, hour are very long so expect at least a 60 hour work week
