Pros

At Goldman, you have to manage your own career. If you can do so, this is a great place to work. Your experience largely depends on the group and your manager Networking is key in the firm. Environment is typical of financial companies. Great opportunities presented to train your self.

Cons

Could get quite bureaucratic when it comes to getting time off approved. Most people are not fun loving and are workaholics. Information sharing though promoted is not practiced. Unless you are your manager's henchman, it is difficult to get flexible work arrangement.
