Pros

The firm provides very diversified training classes, and I really improve both my hard skills and soft skills a lot here. It's a great place for young people to start a career, although there's no job security unless you have a really good personal relationship with your boss.

Cons

I used to commute 3 hours every day, considering I work more than 12 hours everyday, i have no personal life during weekday, and I got too tired to go out during the weekend.

Pros

Its name is great, the quality of the people is extremely high: as good as it gets.

Cons

Oppressive environment, over-confident employees, too much stress. It is also annoying to constantly hear the constant self praise that goldman gives.

Pros

Career development, professional growth. You get great experience and gain a lot of confidence working for Goldman. You get great exposure to the financial industry, as well as cutting-edge trading technology. You work long hours, but management is flexible as far as taking time off and leaving the office a little early, etc. Salary is pretty good as well, but not as exceptional as most people think.

Cons

Long hours, lots of work, pressure, deadlines. You also get the feeling that compensation is not distributed fairly enough, like it's based more on popularity and politics than contributions.
