Pros
Full of good people, trying to do good work. I had 2 good managers in my 5 year tenure, and 6 duds.
Cons
Salary is average, less so during no-bonus layoff years. Culture is highly political, not merit based. Engineering tech debt is anchored down by "not built here" and "but my legacy". Leadership is fear-based, often incompetent, micromanaging, and - CEO is actually called the-executioner. Difficult to get funding to hire good people. There is no work-life balance. The in-house food vendor is external, fleecing employees with high prices for mediocre food. Only vending machines available after 5p, so UberEats delivery is very popular. Fires 5-10% of employees each year, aiming for the bottom % without sufficient data or awareness, and tends to be random selection from the bottom 80%.
