Pros

The ability to grow and learn in several areas at one. It's not just sitting at a desk all day, it's also being a part of the community and networking which I enjoy.

Cons

Not enough vacation time and long days. Hours are 8-5 (which most jobs in this type of office setting is 8-4 or 9-5). I got one week of vacation when I started, but it won't be until the END of year 2 before I earn enough PTO to take barely one week off....and that's if I don't get sick or have to use a vacation day here and there. We get 3 sick days which 3 out of 365 is just not enough. It takes more than 3 days to recover just from a cold or flu!

Pros

There is nothing decent nor kind to say about Goodwill industries of Denver.

Cons

I'll list them because like legion there are many: 1.Donation attendants do everything from hauling furniture to training the newcomers and get no respect nor recognition for their efforts 2.extremely low pay for the work demanded. 3.management has no idea what peak hours/day means and will only schedule up to four people to handle weekend after sale days. 4.trucking seems to be unmanaged and does whatever it wants and only seems to come on time if a district manager gets on the phone. 5.don't expect any advancement whatsoever if you are not a manager. 6."raises" do not exist.

Pros

Not gonna lie, but the bosses are mostly amazing, the head manager does keep her temper. It maybe okay as a High School student's first job but other than that, it is an "okay" job.

Cons

Hours are very flexible, other parts of management are not really the most fair. They can schedule you for full time for the entire year and still call you part time. Often during the other three seasons other than summer that you will get scheduled the morning shift due to its high student to adults ratios.
