      Pros

      Make sure you're part of the in-crowd, otherwise you could be left wandering in circles. If you network well, you will be able to get places and do well here. sometimes it is frustrating to know you are doing more than someone else who is getting paid more because of seniority, but that will pass as you move up the ladder and get promoted.

      Cons

      Slow. It's a large company and things move slowly. Not a fan of HR

      Pros

      Strong brand. Advancement opportunities. Common culture and procedure on a global level. Goodyear is a company that has enjoyed historic success and built one of the best brands in the world. Who does not recognize Goodyear? But the world is flat and the brand must evolve and the go-to-market must reflect increased ability for customers to know everything your products before they make a purchase decision. Not only Goodyear, but global distribution must reflect this understanding.

      Cons

      The hours are long and the company needs to move more quickly out of an antique business model. Also, merit increases are small.

      You get to meet people.

      Cons

      You are expected to be at work at 7:30 am monday thru friday until 6;30 PM. Saturday work day starts at 7:45 am and ends at 4;30 PM, You get no lunch, and only Sunday off. You are not told this when you are hired. Also you are not permitted to sit. You are instructed to stand at all times. No breaks.
