Pros

Smart people and very professional. They have special advancement programs for employees from top tier schools. In-house fitness center, health center, cafeteria and coffee shop. Benefits are top tier as well.

Cons

Corporate culture is a little weird. Very paternalistic so you have to show deference to anyone who is salary grade above you. Easy to get pigeon holed unless you have a management sponsor.

Pros

If you need a job quick . but don't stay too long.

Cons

The management lies all the time. they will smile in your face and tell they will do something and the next day it is a whole different thing. its like you never even spoke with them. And this isnt with just some of the management, most of them are breed like that from the "leadership group" (upper management)

Pros

Grainger is large company that has hired a diverse group of leaders and employees. Both in the field and at the headquarters you will meet close friends and have opportunities to work on projects that bring satisfaction.

Cons

While the team-members are diverse, there isn't a great desire to listen to modern ideas and concepts from 25yr+ leadership crowd.
