Pros

Great people, numerous development opportunities across the US and in other countries, and solid benefits (profit-sharing, stock options, health and well-being, charity match, vacation time).

Cons

Shifting support staff out of the US, closing down locations, difficult pricing model, trust in sales force has diminished. Failing to focus on the core business while trying to expand into other online markets under different names and causing more confusion within The company and with customers.

Pros

A solid company that has been around for over a century.

Cons

With a shifting of leadership, the environment at Grainger is very negative and tense right now. Also changing retirement benefits that impacted long term employees. Used to be a large draw to the company, now the plan is just "ok".

Pros

Dedicates a lot of money towards customer entertainment & providing samples to customers.

Cons

I have never worked for a company that micro manages it's sales representatives like Grainger! Complete lack of trust-- Be prepared to spend countless hours on redundant reporting too..
