Pros

They offer a complete benefits package from day one.

Cons

They lied to myself and dozens of other employees about not having mandatory overtime. When in fact between March and October of every year there will be mandatory overtime and it won't just be a couple of hours here and there, it's an entire extra shift 2 or 3 weeks out of the month. So, no the 4 day workweek is only about half true, you will indefinitely work 5 in the warm months. And yes, it gets hot! They onc reset everyone's PTO to negative 40 on account of a system glitch and we were never paid for it and they basically told us, 'Oh, well." Raises are small and few. They give quarterly reviews and that's how they decide to give an extra couple of cents or not. In 4 years of employment with them, I can say that their turnover rate is ridiculously high, as they use the same recycled tactic to get bodies in the door. But once there, you are nothing but a number to them, period. Overall I would describe working at Grainger as being in a toxic and abusive relationship. They treat you with little to no regard then offer you cookies and ice cream after the fact. Gaslighting is actually a real thing there. As big of a company that Grainger is, the one in Fountain Inn, SC is ran like it's hood-operated. Bare minimum professionalism, unless they aim to scold or criticize you, then you have their undivided attention. I don't doubt that Grainger as a whole may be a good place to work but if you're interested in the Fountain Inn distribution center, be sure to keep an open line of communication with the other companies you applied to as you may find out very soon that they are not shiny as they portray themselves to be. Take head.
