Pros

My first year has been challenging and rewarding! I've been in the sales profession for most of my adult life and Grainger has taken me to new heights and I've learned new skills that have benefited me to be successful. The training program was first class. I was well prepared to take on my territory. The management has been fantastic and understanding throughout my journey, giving me time to learn as well as space to figure things out. Grainger offers very affordable health, dental, and eye insurance and great benefits. I can truly say that my journey with Grainger has been wonderfully challenging and extremely rewarding. I'm looking forward to a long career with this amazing company!

Cons

The only con I can think of is not enough face-to-face interaction with my teammates, but this can be a very difficult obstacle to overcome due to us being so spread out. My district manager does a great job bringing us together when he can. Even with us being so spread out I know I can pick up the phone anytime and my teammates will be there for me.

Pros

Lots of opportunities! There are so many different areas in the company where you can promote to. I have also built many relationships within this company. Again, opportunities are endless if you put your mind to it. There are also lots of programs you can partake in while doing your current job. The PTO is also excellent, allowing for time away from work when needed.

Cons

If you are not salary and are told you will have to work X shift, be mindful of this when thinking about your future. If this is not something that works for you, think about a different role. If the position does not offer a CONFIRMED shift bid, that's what you will work, and it more than likely cannot be changed.
