Pros

there's one super sweet, helpful, supportive Housekeeping person. love them <3 will miss for sure.

Cons

-- Exposed to COVID, ringworm & unvaccinated animals -- inadequately trained across the board -- inadequate first aid/general health tool supplies -- HORRIBLE communication from supervisors/management -- seriously understaffed on a regular basis -- higher ups keep residents in units they are not fit for (eg. assisted living residents who need dementia care or more serious other aide) and will not push family or move with involuntary moving for resident need & staff safety -- inadequate breaks to just get food/water/restroom breaks on shift -- sup-standard of care daily operating standards

Pros

In this job, I feel constantly supported by my coworkers from all departments, and we are a true team. We work together and help each other in any way needed, whether it be driving residents to appointments because the chauffeur is off for the day or helping the kitchen deliver dinner if they are short-handed. I know that if I need anything, my coworkers will have my back. This company cares so deeply about the well-being of its residents, but also its staff. Through this position, I have learned more than I ever could have imagined about dementia and senior living (and there's still so much to learn), but also about how positive a work environment can be. I am genuinely happy while I'm at work.

Cons

Honestly, I'm trying to think of something. I love my position. I have noticed short-staffing of the aides in the memory care unit, and that is clearly difficult for the aides who are there and for management who tries to find ways to schedule the people they have. That's the only con I can think of, though.
