Pros

The people you work with and the family friendliness to address work/life balance. It is located on the south side of downtown Columbus so there is less downtown traffic. It is a little "big" company and you can make an impact. It is active in the community and its associates really care. It's close to banks, restaurants, grocery stores, dry cleaners, etc. so it is easy to complete the running of errands over lunch. Many places are also within walking distance. Parking is free and it still offers a retirement plan in addition to a 401K. It's health insurance is also GREAT.

Cons

Can be difficult to advance due to length of tenure of existing associates (people stay and don't leave). You can also get pigeon-holed or locked-in to a position and find it difficult to break out of others' preconcieved notions of what you can do.

Pros

Grange invests in employees. Opportunities to showcase your talent and advance vary based on your department and manager. I am pleased with my position and my direct manager, but that is not the case for many at Grange. The company is solid and stability is a pro. Also, you are given the tools and resources needed to do your job. Ammenities like free parking, on-site fitness center and cafeteria add to the general benefits package.

Cons

After the recent reduction in force, maybe managers will be more consistent in this manner and hopefully ineffective managers were weeded out.
