Learning experience for what I don't want in life

Pros

Nice home office, decent autonomy.

Cons

- Completely ignored unless you're a rep in Ohio (let me mention that I was earning the most bonus per the company and still was treated like I didn't exist) - Lower pay per the industry - Premium goals were never aligned with underwriting so there was always tension...and TSM's had no underwriting authority - Management starting from the top was simply atrocious. Trust me when I say this. - Extremely high turnover which should be red flag numero uno. - Lack of trust from Agents..at the time....no clue if this is still an issue. - System malfunctions that went on far too long which only added to the mistrust.

Pros

Good colleagues, decent benefits, fairly stable

Cons

Increasing outsourcing/decreasing quality of work. Woke politics forced by CEO affects all hiring/promotions. Self-perpetuating board has little insurance knowledge outside of 1 or 2 directors. Pay raises are anemic. UW lacks direction. Senior leadership has little knowledge of insurance underwriting or claims; mostly sales and finance backgrounds.

Pros

Work culture is great. They have great developmental programs so you can grow your career. Above average compensation.

Cons

Haven't experienced a down side that is exclusive to Grange. No company is perfect but Grange is close.
