Pros

You get gas paid for mostly, along with average pay. Not too many pros to be completely honest

Cons

I would read on hear sometimes that expect work to be your life, and I always thought people were exaggerating. However, after working as a project engineer for 2 years, those people couldn't be more true. Expect to pull the 13-14 hour days every day and expect work to cut into your weekend and free time 100%. If you don't mind that and see working also as a hobby than this would work for you. But if you enjoy maybe getting in 9 holes or going to the gym than look somewhere else.

Pros

Honesty. The company is proud of their image, ethics, quality and safety. Ranked by Ethosphere for many years, Best Places to Work etc. While the corporation pays less than competitors, it's where you want to work.

Cons

Leadership has changed in recent years from builders running to corporation to non-builders. The corporation was heavily involved in proving to employees that they are the most important asset through the Learning and Development department. Should the 'was' change...they'll again earn the retention years of their employees.

Pros

The people (under the manager level). They are what makes working there manageable. Great location for locals, not having to commute over the hill.

Cons

Incompetent managers who set unrealistic expectations, have zero appreciation for their employees, and work you to death! Training is non-existent. Everything is political. Raises are not reflective of performance. HIGH HIGH turnover. So much so that you are constantly doing your own job as well as someone else's.
