Pros

This is one of the Forbes Top 500 Companies to work for. They provide good training and development programs. The ability to get exposed to the both public and private construction work is easily obtainable. Most management is ready and willing to help you develop. Senior management encourages lower management to continue to develop their employees so it’s not hard to locate a mentor in the company. They are willing to work with you in discovering new positions with in the company. They are a company that will do what they say and will uphold their promises to you. In the smaller branches there is a sense of comradely.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working in this company are the long work hours. Even though is not required, in order to perform as expected, work weeks range from 60 to 70 hours. Depending on the department you work it may require constant relocation every 2 to 3 years. Their health benefits are great if you are single but are not enough in you are married especially if you have children. The company keeps growing is it is becoming too corporate in its stile. And at times, in some departments, it seems their employees are nothing more than a number.

Pros

Everyone i worked with was always very nice and helpful in teaching me new skills. I wish i could have stayed with the company, but unfortunetly they went where the work was and i had to finish school. I still talk to one of my old coworkers. Plus the things i learned with them look great on a resume now that im about to graduate.

Cons

Not so much of a con as much as a fact of the trade, but be prepared to work 55+ hours a week.
