Pros

Easy to get job, reasonable pay rate for first office job out of college, relatively stable schedule

Cons

Strict scheduling (expected to work the 8-5 or 10-7 with no tolerance for tardiness, even during states of emergency), any problems relating to other departments or customers fall on your shoulders as an employee and you are reprimanded for things that are not your fault in even the slightest, competitive environment for something as meager as a Wal-Mart gift card turns the whirlwind of unpredictable performance metrics into something more cutthroat, being yelled at for not meeting goal metrics when the work for those metrics simply has not come in

Pros

Great coworkers, good direct management, not micromanaged

Cons

Ops departments are overworked and underpaid for the amount of work they have to do. The amount of expectation placed on reps to make sure everything goes smoothly guarantees failure and burnout — it feels like you often have to do the job of every other department to avoid falling behind or having customers and sales angry at you. The direct premier supervisors and manager will have your back and help but even just the process of getting more dedicated support can be a crapshoot depending on the situation. Ultimately it's not enough to avoid the constant feeling that you're not doing enough or the backlash of customers who were promised a degree of support in the sales cycle that we don't have the manpower or infrastructure to provide (and burn ourselves out trying to give them). Also, major process changes are rolled out frequently and without enough warning or testing, frustrating ops departments and customers alike as we regularly scramble to readjust.
