Pros

There are some great people who work here, and there is some job stability for most roles. Decent work life balance if you want it. 401k match.

Cons

Raises and promotions are so out of whack there are supervisors getting paid less than people they are managing. Granite is more than happy to let good talent walk so they don’t have to give them half the money they will need to give a new hire at the current market rate. My entire department didn’t get a promotion or non COLA raises since I have been here. Then Granite has their weekly meeting showing their “promotions” even though they aren’t technically allowed according to management. Another excuse we got yearly is they are “working on changing titles and the organizational structure so it makes more sense for next year”. HR also doesn’t approve flexibility for people with family issues (not for everyone) leaving them to break the rules so they can pick up their kids with the 4 days rto. The company gives millions to charity every year (which is nothing to the 4th wealthiest person in Massachusetts history net worth increased by $400 mill again!) and says I can’t help you when it comes to paying anyone but sales.

Pros

Great first company for an introduction into corporate america.

Cons

Always prioritizes sales teams over repair/technical teams. For an ISP, they under-value their technical employees. Management for sales and accounting teams are very pushy and dump everything onto the technical teams without ever consulting any technical expert.
