Pros

Great environment for sales and long term growth if you can succeed. Easy to make great relationships with coworkers. No risk of bankruptcy or sweeping job cuts

Cons

Management can be inflexible in tactics and community. Management and offices are out of date. “Do or die” atmosphere which can also be a pro.

Pros

The pay is decent, but they recently cut commission without a heads up and Quarterly bonuses are decent, but get cut drastically if you make one mistake

Cons

Constant headache Constant stress Overworked and underpaid Management watches over your shoulder Management actually tracks the seconds you are not productive Made department pay cuts and increased responsibility amid Covid so there were less jobs to find outside of granite Management expects you to be on call all day after work even though it’s hourly pay Getting around 300 emails a day from customers. Other internal teams are not very helpful and often times have to figure things out on your own. Internal processes are constantly changing If you aren’t in sales here, they view you as disposable and will not do anything to retain. Any promotions you receive come with a name change only, pay barely goes up and the job stays the exact same. PTO system is a joke, you have to enter into your vacation time if you are sick or need to leave early for any reason. Once had a coworker have to come in the office sick because they were out of time off All in all, avoid Granite at all costs, save yourself and your mental health

Pros

Awesome boss Hard-working coworkers Many opportunities for training and certification through the company Incredibly diverse workforce Decent employee benefits (used to be amazing before they decreased their 401k match)

Cons

Salaries are not competitive with the local market Upper management will spend millions on new projects, but their employees struggle to get raises or better work-life balance The company is unable to attract talent, so the positions are understaffed Because they are understaffed and keep pushing for new projects, employees continuously work 60+ hour weeks with no compensation Working nights and weekends every week is expected. There's no backup, so everyone has to be available 24/7
