Pros

I like the team I work with, but I got lucky. A whole hour for lunch. Gym on site. Bonuses based on annual company revenue.

Cons

I don't even know where to start. The recruiter actually told me, "I know the Glassdoor ratings are low, but you shouldn't listen to that." Well, I took her advice, and it was the worst decision I ever made. I've been with this company for a while now, and needless to say I am looking elsewhere. The whole company is a giant high school, with management being the popular football players and cheerleaders that do whatever they can to make the rest of us miserable. Let's see, just a few mentionables are that they'll dock your pay if you're a minute late to work, no exceptions. This past Thanksgiving they told everyone that they could have the Wednesday before Thanksgiving off, and the Tuesday before the day came, they changed their minds and told everyone that if they didn't show up to work, they'd be fired. I watched employees actually have to cancel plane tickets and plans to be with their families. I even watched employees cry. I could go on, but I won't. This company's treatment of their employees is downright disgusting.

Pros

POTENTIAL! This place has so much potential in every category, but as you read, you'll see how 1 person and/or manager can truly MAKE or BREAK a culture/atmosphere. Its a job. DIRECTLY across the street from the future site of the Atlanta Braves. Downstairs café has a good selection, with good food and exceptional service. Mike is the man! I got a free Nike dry-fit polo. Free office supplies. A large majority of the sales staff are really good people to work with and be around. $50K base for ALL hires/employees is decent for a sales job.

Cons

I honestly don't know where to begin, so I guess I'll be blunt and just list examples. Absolutely negative place/culture/atmosphere. This place will literally suck the life out of you! -They scare you, saying you'll NEVER be able to find another sales base salary at $50K anywhere else. This is laughable because I received 3+ job offers after leaving Granite and each were above that astonishing mark of $50K and I ended up accepted the 65. Thanks Granite! -I just couldn't take the stress or walking into work every day knowing I'd be looked down upon for petty, non-business related things. -You'll get "fined" $5 for every late/absent internal meeting. (Regardless, whether you were discussing business with a client/prospect, still $5) -You'll get a Vacation Day taken away if you show up to work with a little bit of scruff or haven't shaved. (This is no joke.) -You WILL receive weekly, if not daily emails discussing things such as showing up late a minute late to work or not shaving, threatening your job and livelihood. -I can take getting heckled, but Granite really started becoming a "bully" type atmosphere where employees would just stay reserved to ensure they wouldn't be chastised or made fun of. -One meeting, I had a manager tell me, he'd support and/or assist me in any way possible to help me out. At the end of the meeting I requested my manager join me on a call. ***His response: "I'd love to, but I have to take my dog out."*** -I saw a close friend/coworker quit/resign for "personal reasons" the same week he closed a $5K+ commission deal because he couldn't take one more hour, let alone day/week in that place. If that doesn't speak volumes to you, then hey, maybe this is the place for you!
