Pros

Flexible schedule, hands on training, goals and expectations are clear and thorough, compensation for hard work, doing your job well will be noticed and rewarded. No hard work will go unnoticed and management will push you to excel within the company

Cons

Parking can be very difficult and it is very important to be clocked in and ready to work at your desk on time. You need to schedule your commute time and give yourself extra time to find parking or go down the street to park then walk back.

Good Company - Corporate Experience

Pros

Granite is a company where anyone with a Bachelor's Degree can gain corporate experience. The entry level pay is exactly on target with the rest of the market for entry level roles for new grads with little to no corporate experience. They also provide excellent perm benefits and a 401k match. I find it odd that so many people complain about working 8-5. It seems that if you don't like working 8-5 you shouldn't look to work in corporate America. Hours are 8-5 or 6PM in the vast majority of companies. Also in terms of pay, it's impossible to graduate and find a job that pays $40-45k+ if you haven't worked in an office environment before. I think that's hard for people to accept. Granite offers a lot of opportunity.

Cons

No particular cons stand out. No matter what company you work for, each person is going to have their own experience based on their personality and work ethic. No matter where you work in life, if you work hard and have a good attitude you'll do well and be treated well.

Pros

The people were nice and the atmosphere welcoming, plus there was a nice sense of community among the departments.

Cons

Sometimes it's difficult to feel as though you're making much of an impact, especially in larger departments.
