Pros

I've been working at Grant Street for many moons as a programmer. Never before have I worked for a company that understood how important the company's people are as I have at Grant Street. The closest I've come to getting in 'trouble' at Grant Street was when a superior pulled me aside one day and said, "your personal life isn't suffering from the work you're doing right now, is it?" If you're the smartest guy in the room at your current job, you won't be at Grant Street. Everyone here has a severe case of imposter syndrome. You'll be working with people who have PhDs, who wrote massive name-brand applications, even people who helped write the actual programming language you're writing in! Getting hired at Grant Street is _hard_, and no matter how long you've been here, you will feel the pressure of a high work load, and having to keep up with the ever-changing technology. This isn't a bad thing, but it warrants a specific kind of talent: talent many people simply do not have. That said, if you're prepared for the workload, you will absolutely thrive at Grant Street. Management understands their job is simply to remove impediments to you getting your job done: they don't micro-manage, they aren't looking over your shoulder, and as long as your results are in line with expectations, you'll be just fine. Grant Street has treated me better than any previous employer ever has, and I am exceedingly thankful for it. And every few months, they make some other fundamental company change or adjustment to the way the company runs with the sole intention of making it a better place to work for its employees. I cannot recommend Grant Street highly enough. As long as they don't realise *I* am the dumbest guy in the room (and at Grant Street, I'm quite alright with that), I will continue to give them the best work I can.

Cons

I don't really have any cons, except to say if you aren't prepared for the massive business knowledge that is required to work here, it may not be the job for you. You cannot just show up and skate by at GSG. It simply won't work.
