Pros

Work-life balance is great for those working remotely. Salary is pretty good. The rapid growth has been a challenge, but there's been an effort to put reasonable processes in place.

Cons

-It's primarily feast or famine - people are either over- or under-worked and there isn't a happy medium. -There needs to be more effort making the remote people feel connected to their team and others in the company. -The management team talks grassroots and sometimes accepts that effort, but is also top-down. The expectations are still quite inconsistent. -HR needs to do a better job of ensuring employees are treated fairly by management. -All the disparate groups work so differently that those that need to work with multiple groups can feel lost. -There is a sense of crony-ism with certain D- and C-level managers. -Necessary change is pretty slow.

Pros

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Great Minds Employee. I work remotely on the curriculum side and appreciate the flexible work schedule. I have never worked with more dedicated and professional coworkers. It is apparent that my coworkers love and take pride in their jobs. My coworkers not only accepted me with open arms, but also have pushed me to do my best. I am mentally stimulated every day, and simply enjoy the work I do.
