Pros

Great Minds is a dynamic and growing organization. I heard someone say we're like a 'startup' in an industry that has only a handful of large content (curriculum) providers. Does that mean its tough sometimes, maybe, because we work at a fast pace. The team is extremely dedicated to the mission and wants nothing more than to extend our reach so we can have a bigger impact supporting educators and student growth. The talent present within the organization is impressive. Equally impressive is the respectful and collaborative way I've observed teams working together. As someone who has worked at 6+ different organizations, large to startup, I'm really very happy to report that Great Minds is a 'great find' for the right talent.

Cons

Nothing to report at this time.

Pros

Flexible schedule. Most employees work remotely. Growing company with great potential. Mission of the organization is impressive . Middle management highly values employees. Materials produced by the company is making a significant difference in the lives of students, teachers, and parents.

Cons

Salaries not aligned with national standards. internal promotions are not emphasized. Executive team is male dominated and lacks gender, age, and ethnic diversity. Communication from management continues to be a problem, especially HR related issues. Corporate culture seems to be shifting from a collaborative to a top down approach. Employees can be overworked and under appreciated. Departments often work in isolation from one another. No clear vision shared with employees for how the company is preparing for continual growth.
