For being a large company Great Southern has the feel of a small family ran operation. It rewards individual hard work and takes care of its employees.

Easy work, experience for younger workers, plenty of overtime for fork truck drivers.

Cons

Every piece of equipment is damaged, from fork trucks to the tag guns. Maintenence does what they can with what they have, which isn't much and means rigging a lot of equipment. Management consistently shows favoritism towards certain employees. Requests for raises are met with excuses, while they expect you to do every job in the plant.
