Cons

You are probably reading this because GGH has pitched you an ear full about lifestyle balance, nurse practitioner autonomy, and wellness. GGH does not fulfill this “mission” for clinicians. They are about pushing patient numbers to fill their pocket books while making their clients happy. They give you your schedule the night before and refuse to give it to you in advance. Do not expect to plan doctors appointments, family arrangements, vacations, or whatever it may be. The clinics do not give you a desk or computer chair. There were NP’s seeing patients in closets, using an exam table or utility cart as desks and sitting on a stool for 7+ hours. When GGH was asked to give clinicians proper desks and ergonomical chairs, they ignored us clinicians. Management doesn’t respond to emails for weeks at a time, they schedule meetings during lunch hours, and have physician advisors who are unreachable. When you have concerns they’ll say, “let’s take this offline.” However, they never address your concerns because they have poor problem solving skills. Additionally, you are seeing patients who have not seen their PCP’s in 1-2 years who are coding patients in a fraudulent and negligent manner. They only offer a W-2 and the back and forth driving is not worth the wear and tear on your vehicle. GGH does not offer administrative time, they will email you at 1-3AM expecting a response, and their charting system is poorly developed. They now offer an application to have you check pts in and out while tracking your location during home visits. You’re a clinician, not a secretary! They will expect you to drive to places outside your region or contract guidelines which may be 1 hour away. They refuse to pay hourly because they know they can burn you while being salary. GGH is about productivity bonuses and making their clients happy, not taking care of clinicians. They are a year old and still do not have a chain of command model. This employer is not worth the stress and there are many other organizations who offer the same job description with a better model, benefits, pay, and support. Do yourself a favor and join an organization that doesn’t need fancy employee titles to catch peoples attention. The other review is another great representation of this poor run company.

Pros

Great benefits, pay, and extras.

Cons

It's money hungry operation. The executive leadership makes it known in decisions they make and actions they take that they do not care about better patient outcomes, they just want money. They have no idea about clinical needs or expectations and it is noticeable every day of their operations. There is NO clinical person on the executive team, that should say everything. The nepotism is out of control, where they hire someone because they know them yet they are completely unqualified. Poor management, no idea how to run a healthcare services company.

Pros

A job when you need one

Cons

Agree with earlier post. Very poor management who has no idea about clinical matters or how to run a clinical business. A money hungry, non patient centric company disguising corporate America executives to be your friend. I’m heading out shortly and recommend not joining this company. Predicting they will not be around much longer despite the hype.
