A Painful and Disappointing End After Nearly a Decade

During my time at the company, I had the chance to work with some truly talented and dedicated people. I gained valuable experience and took pride in the work we accomplished together.

Cons

After nearly a decade of commitment, I was laid off during a company-wide reduction due to an industry slowdown. The way it was handled was deeply disappointing. The layoff was announced over a brief Google Meet call where no one was allowed to ask questions or say anything at all. It felt incredibly cold and impersonal. After giving so much of my time, energy, and loyalty, it was devastating to be let go in such a distant and dismissive way. It made me feel like all those years of contribution meant very little in the end.

The workload can be intense, long hours with little flexibility. No opportunities for growth or professional development. Decisions are often made without broader input or transparency, Feedback from staff doesn’t result in meaningful change. There’s a noticeable gap between senior management and frontline teams, and the overall direction can feel reactive rather than strategic. Multiple rounds of layoffs in recent years.

Remote work good efforts made to feel like a team even when its remote My manager was really nice caring person

Cons

Was great around 2022, but movie/ TV Industry in north america is struggling after strikes and production cost increase, leading to more overseas productions that greenslate can't make profit from. This massive shift puts them in a really awkward investor situation. So then come layoffs/downsizing.
