Too big to see the true value of their employees

Pros

They are a large company with the potential for growth. They have decent benefits and higher hourly wages than most other management companies.

Cons

They used to be a company that valued and acknowledged their employees who bust their butts for them. They have gotten so big that they do not see the true potential in the employees they have. Cross training is not offered or encouraged. If you want to move up, you can make it known, but it doesn't mean they care to listen.

My job in a nutshell

Pros

Promote like crazy from within, amazing benefits, free life insurance, beautiful properties, training is extensive but SO necessary, huge company so staying with the company and moving is not an issue usually!

Cons

Wages a NOT competitive, following up with prospects the way they ask you to will cause you to lose potential leases, the amount of questions you have to ask every caller will get you hung up on and lose leases that way too. They do not give raises unless you are an RPM or property manager or a STAR leaser. They unfortunately only offer 20% discount for employees because they know if you do not take it at a discount, someone else will pay full price for it. If you work for an owner who only owns your property (98% of the company), you will only get a discount at YOUR property. The rate at which they secret shop is VERY high and you will have to pay them for not acing a secret shop ;(
