1. Senior management will frequently move your work location based on their business needs with little to no input or feedback from you. It's a "take it or leave it" proposition. You are essentially a tool, a piece in a puzzle moved about on a whim. You are expected to be "flexible" throughout all the changes and transitions. 2. Senior management places the needs and expectations of the owners above the employees who oversee the community and are responsible for driving and producing results. 3. Extremely unrealistic expectations. Decisions and goals are made in a bubble with no regard for economic and market conditions. 4. Often you will work longer and harder than you are compensated for. 5. Bonuses and commissions vary based on property. You may not be paid commissions at all or for overtime worked beyond 80 hours. 6. Management is deceptive, will say one thing to get what they want, then do another. 7. Senior management is out of touch and unaware of the day to day work flow and limitations at the on-site level. 8. Turnover is high. People are constantly quitting due to work environment, receiving payment and treatment. 9. Ethics are lacking. More emphasis is placed on delivering results than how those results are achieved. Anything goes, by any means necessary. 10. Lack of appreciation and rewards. Hard work is overlooked, management/owners are thankless.
