Pros

All the benefits and perks of working for a large company. Decent health insurance, yada, yada

Cons

I know where to start - IT'S ONLY ABOUT MONEY. I wish I did more research on REIT's before I started working for one. "We understand that we towed your car by accident, but you still have to pay for it." "Our concierge lost your rent check and yes, we see you handing it to them on the video, but there is nothing I can do about your late fee. You must pay it." "Sorry, your rent is going up $500 a month on your next lease. If you don't want to pay, there is not much I can do because we can lease it to someone else for $501.00." "We will train you for an ENTIRE week with the rest of the crop. Don't forget your 1000 page manual." "Either do it, or we will find someone else who will. You should see the amount of resumes coming through our HR department." "I love our company anthem 'Master of Puppets'." "So we have leasing consultants, Assistant Managers, Property Manager 1, Property Manager 2, Property Manager 3, Regional Manager, General Manager, VP of Region, VP of Area, VP of NE and then you finally have the corporate office. Yes, you must stick with the chain of command to get an approval."

Pros

Great salary and benefits, flexibility with location due to size of company.

Cons

90 hour work weeks, very poor new hire training/support, unrealistic expectations of office staff (especially new hires) with respect to deadlines, goals, and performance standards.

Not a good idea

Pros

The insurance is fantastic.

Cons

Worst treatment in a work environment I have ever experienced. I have 10 years with a good company in this industry and 5 years with an excellent company. I have lots of experience to be able to compare this company with. The training was mostly on line so you better be able to jump in and swim with the sharks. If you are customer focused you wont like this company they are only about revenue period. I did not meet one manager that was pleasant. I had to fight for every commission. The ethics are severely lacking. The worst in this industry. Everyone one needs to work but I feel for you if you have to endure this company most people will do anything for there kids but I have never been happier that mine are grown. I do not have to put my self respect on the back burner for work. You will never get overtime even if you worked it. Staffing was always an issue because of the turn over. Now I know why. I saw and experienced two forms of discrimination with my own eyes. I cannot warn you enough. It is not worth it.
