Pros

Loved my hours, shift, and duties. Really nice work environment, with plenty of work to pass the hours.

Cons

They want you to be perfect from the get-go, and give employees no chance whatsoever to correct mistakes. I had one day of training, then i was served 2 write-ups at THE END of my third shift, for mistakes made on my FIRST day on my own. I was fired the next morning upon going to clock-in for my 4th day of work. Since me, they have gone through 4 more people for my position- in ONE MONTH

The Best Employment Experience Thus Far

Pros

I have been with Grocery Outlet, Inc. for 2 years now. It is far the 'best employment experience' I had! Honesty, openness, ‘being yourself’ are a few of the many great things I can describe our culture here. I’m with a highly talented team who offers a ton of support, both personal and professional, understand the demands of family life, encourages new ideas, push everyone to be ‘better’, supports innovation and growth. I learn new things every day which is really important for me. The Executive and Leadership team are the most talented people in the industry. There is not so much of ‘office politics’ going on, but leaders who value hard work and recognize talent! I also like how open and transparent our leaders here who always go outside their way to help their employees. GOI also offer great benefits and amenities – gym on-site, fitness classes, valet parking, beautiful office space, complimentary fruits and beverages, accessible snacks, and profit sharing.

Cons

Oftentimes, the office gets very quiet, despite the open concept layout. Employees are very respectful.

Pros

He hired me on spot, got me working within 2 days I have literally nothing else good to say about working here

Cons

Rude manager, not understanding, not willing to give many chances, expects you to be trained in a day, to many people come in with counterfeit money so if fake money get by you expect to be fired no questions asked. Manager treats you like your clueless and know nothing. Quit after 3 days I couldn't take the way I was being treated and school is more important right now. Paid me way less than every other cashier because I feel like he was quick to judge me and assume I didn't have the skills but I proved him wrong then left it at that.
