Pros

Everyone outside of the "Groundworks" label is friendly and fun. JES, JES Sales, Accounting, Payroll, and a few good eggs here and there.

Cons

GW has the amazing ability to talk about their achievements of successes. However once you join the team you quickly learn how it is being done. There is little to no understanding of what responsibilities or job components should be tied to a title. You can be ripped from your position either very quickly without warning or they can gradually handicap you into a spot where you're incapable of completing basic functions of what you're initially hired to do or in some situations where you can't accomplish anything. (Beware of vague job descriptions, know what you're specific skills are and work to keep at them.) There are no set and maintained chains of command, rapid growth gives senior members the ability to pick up or drop off parts of the job they no longer want or parts they use to gain a name for themselves. Its a free for all and everyone else seems sort of used to it. Its unusual and no one really knows who to ask what from week to week. Your successes and your achievements will no longer be yours, they will be taken by someone above you in pay scale and they will take credit for them and use it to their advantage. This also applies to advancing or streamlining your own processes, you can work yourself out of a job here if you outperform. There are extreme cliques here, and the trash talk is rife, there are always people whispering in corners of the building, this is very stressful. They are polite to your face but as soon as you walk out of a room the nastiest and disrespectful things are said. This transcends all levels of leadership here. There are also extreme tempers here, few members of senior staff scream, shout and on occasion throw things, its very scary. Do not confide in anyone here, there is no integrity, and no one here is a friend, nothing is kept confident and NO ONE in any department maintains accountability for it, including HR. Do not come here unless you believe you can mute out or handle the chaos. The rapid growth is causing them to let basic standards, practices and even basic manning fall through the cracks and it will eventually collapse.

Worst company to work for

Pros

Absolutely no pros. I am still dealing with the mental damage that this company caused me.

Cons

leadership is horrid. It did so poorly financially that they had to sell to a company with more money because the family ran it to the ground and they had to lay off a lot of their staff to make up for their short comings. The director of customer care is a joke but it was her daddies company and she made sure to throw it in your face every chance she got. This is a company with so many trust issues, that they treat their employees horribly. Turn over is high. I would tell anyone that wants to work here, to work somewhere else where they will be appreciated and cared for. AND paid better. Loyalty goes a long way.
