Pros
They paid for my lunch during training but that was about it
Cons
I originally went to JES because I have a lot of in home sales experience but was really tired of the high pressure grind of selling windows, siding and doors. I thought it would be a much better experience going into someones home where they had actually contacted us because they had a real problem. WOW was I wrong! To say this company is a complete con job is an understatement. I was hired as a sales "inspector" for the Manassas office and sent to Virginia Beach for a week of training. The ONLY thing they paid for was the hotel room during my stay (which had plastic knives and forks for room service to give you some idea of the fleabag hotel this was). After arriving at the offices for my first day of training I was a little relieved since the offices were nice and full of people brimming about. That came to a crashing halt as soon as I entered the room where the "training" was going to be conducted. It was like walking into a scene from Glengarry Glenross but instead of Alec Baldwin you had tired worn out losers or bright eyed cheery kids who had never sold anything before. My first thought was to turn around and run but I'm i'm 4 hours from home so I'll stick around. First 30 minutes are introductions and then the sales script lights up the screen on the wall behind the podiuml. That's strange I thought. I know a ton about sales and closing deals but I know ZERO about foundations and basements. Over the next five days we memorized a script and THAT WAS ALL WE DID!!! Over and over and over and over and over......After I returned home I knew I had made a huge mistake. I went out on the following Monday with all of the newest people from the Manassas office to see some of the newest jobs they'd completed just because I had to see what these crooks actually did after they took your money. So we meet on that first morning and the first thing I notice is everyone's mode of transportation. One of the new "inspectors" didn't have a license, another didn't have a car (not joking), the next one was 20 years old and driving something he paid $1500 for the week earlier because he knew he was going to need it to run "leads"!. There were a few others but I just threw in the towel and quit on the spot. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
