Pros

Benefits are decent, most people are good, challenging work place that builds character. Products that are installed are typically of good quality and high performance.

Cons

Upper Management only cares about profits, metrics, reports and re-perpetuating their own employment. Used to be a place where loyalty toward long time employees was important, now not so much.

Pros

Decent pay. Some departments have flexible schedules. Benefits are okay. A great place to get your foot in the door for Security Industry, Call Center Experience, Sales, ect. Their training departments actually do a decent job for Customer Service. The culture and people are friendly. Some career progression opportunities acrosss departments.

Cons

Guardian Protection Services has a major problem with internal processes and procedures, procedures are constantly changing and most changes are very poorly communicated and structured. Guardian is like the IRS of procedures. There are literally books and books of procedures and sometimes it's hard to keep up. Your average work day will have you accessing over 10+ programs, tabing between multiple screens of the same program, some procedures require you entering the same information twice in multiple areas. If you are not proficient with a computer or capable of extreme multi-tasking usually under moderate stressful conditions then this job isn't the one for you. Your time and phone conversations at work wil be closely monitored and micro managed.

Pros

Above average pay. Good benefits. Opportunities for progression. Decent location. Good people working here, it's like coming to work with a good group of friends.

Cons

Information overload. They have a great trainig department but there is so much information to learn it can not possibly ALL be taught during an 10 week training course. If you already know the industry you have a leg up but the hardest thing to master are the computer programs and ever changing processes and procedures. ALOT of on the job training. Processes and procedures are changing everyday. Poor communication between departments. No sense of any foward planning or inclusion in company goals. Operating most of the company on outdated computer programs and sales strategies. Poor attrition rate in many departments. Compensation across the board should be more based on the industry and market but Guardian can afford to be a little cheap with salary as they are on of the few companies consistently hiring in this area. Don't expect to gross more than $40,000 unless you are in upper management or a department head. All lower level positions will pay less than this. Typical starting salary is $12-$16 if you are lucky.
