Pros

Free food and discounts at a lot of random places around DC

Cons

I worked at the corporate offices and honestly it was like beating your head against the wall everyday. Direction was expected to come from the individual locations which did not make as it left us working inconsistently and without the ability to make a congruent strategy. There is zero structure and zero understanding of how a corporate business is run. People who are in upper positions are not experts at what they do and yet do not want to listen to anyone about how to actually do their job. Absolute waste of time. I would not recommend taking a job here to anyone, at best you will coast through, at worst you will be the scape goat for things you can't change and will pick up some terrible work habits.

Pros

Lots of PT jobs available. Seasonal business.

Cons

Headquarters has the facade of being a professionally run operation but the reality is that it has 95% disconnect from their locations. Bonuses were months behind. Put priority of employees who have been with the company for numerous years but abuse the job security. Questionable business ethics. Presence to the public is shabby. Operations are in need of improvement. Company is 100 years old and feels like it's behind the times.

Pros

You get to meet people from all over the world when they visit the national mall and museums. Your cross trained. Also if your a good worker you can continue to work the following season.

Cons

Your not allowed to accept tips Coworkers that are lazy so you end up doing there job. For example the utility workers were very lazy and the cashiers would have to stock and remove trash also you can end up outside on the ice cream cart with no relief for bathroom breaks
