A great career choice!

Pros

I started working for GuidePoint Security over 2 years ago in the Marketing Dept., and it was one of the best career decisions I ever made. In my case, I have learned so many new things, improved and expanded my skills, and have grown both personally and professionally with the company. It’s been a very exciting journey and I have found my colleagues, supervisors, and even partner/owners too be very accommodating and approachable, whenever I needed them. I really like the fact you are allowed to work remotely, do your job to the best of your ability, and that other colleagues are true teammates who will jump in to assist, if you need them. Working part-time also allows me the opportunity to continue to improve my skills and pursue other personal and professional interests.

Cons

The GuidePoint work experience is really what you choose to make of it. If you are willing to put in the work, communicate and collaborate well with others, and approach each assignment with the understanding that you’ll be more knowledgeable and experienced at the end of the project, GuidePoint is definitely the company for you. If not, then you should look elsewhere.

Pros

GuidePoint has a passionate, enthusiastic, and genuine leadership team that sets the tone for the rest of the company. Working here allows for flexible working conditions and schedule. Employees have the opportunity to impact the methodology and trajectory of a growing leader in Information Security. There is unheard of transparency into financial progress and senior leadership decision making.

Cons

GuidePoint is still a "start-up" atmosphere with all the challenges, growing pains, and added stress that comes with it. Cultural inconsistencies across a few small pockets of the company that still need to be worked out / corrected.

Pros

GuidePoint Security provides valuable security consulting services and performs them with high quality. The company is managed extremely well from the top down. The company provides great career opportunities for endless potential (growth, promotions, and learning). If you just want a "job" - you can have that too. Much less politics than other consulting companies in similar spaces.

Cons

Depending on your perspective, the fact that GuidePoint Security is a small to medium-sized company can be a con.
