Fun place, some issues to fix

Pros

- fun culture - effort to be a relaxed and open place to work - open communication between teams - good benefits - generally listens to employee feedback from most levels

Cons

- not always great progression opportunities- same people being promoted quite often - sometimes petty politics over opportunities and team projects / lack of trust - lack of experienced leadership. Senior staff in head of department roles are generally junior people who were promoted up the company - occasionally, situations where there’s one rule/expectation for some employees but not the others - the brand isn’t established enough in the market

Pros

In my almost 4 years at Guidebook I learned a lot, made great friends, and grew in my career. The folks who stick around are a really nice community to be a part of.

Cons

The compensation is below market rate compared to other Bay Area companies.

Great culture and folks who work around the clock to make a great product

Cons

A dead end, no outlook on going anywhere at all other than defaulting.
