Pros
I loved the team members I worked alongside and also the interactions I had with parents when I was able to have them.
Cons
This organization is not transparent, not collective in decision making processes, and exploitative. During my time working with this organization, I was not onboarded and also was in over my head stepping into the role. The work culture is very business orientated and leadership expects their employees to work under pressure, with little to no support, and is unwilling to listen to voiced concerns. If you are expecting stability in knowing you will remain employed, I would not recommend working for this organization since their are many reductions to staff constantly for schools that are not on the threshold for profitability. If you are transparent, professionally and respectfully outspoken about issues/ inconsistencies, and also are not willing to work under harsh and unsupportive environments, I would not recommend working with this organization. I came into my role excited to connect with families and students and instead struggled with picking up work from the previous staff member on-top of not being trained or onboarded. The organization has SO much potential and I am sad there was not an environment that listened to, supported, and co-created sustainable and effective strategies with me to improve our programming quality.
