Dealing with Administration. Never feeling like you job is secure from one year to the next. The high turnover is evidence to the poor work environment.

Pros

GTCC (and all community colleges) are part of the greater good, helping those that have no other options. It felt good to work to that end.

Cons

Lots of them. Every single department is a silo that refuses to work with anyone else. Bullying is rampant from the top down. People are more concerned with internal politics than helping students. Morale is down and turnover is up for a reason. There are some miserable people in upper management, determined to make everyone else as miserable as they are.
