Pros

Good teamwork among employees on the floor. Opportunities to build organizational seniority within roles.

Cons

Lots of understaffing issues. There is a lack of flexibility with scheduling. There are desperate for employees. Lack of communication. Make you feel like everyone is replacable.

Pros

Easy to pick up shifts and flexible for overtime of 40+ hours. Charting system is user friendly.

Cons

Constant floating to other units that required a staff member to be assigned a 1:1 with certain patients, causing burnout. No rotations and based purely on seniority. Nurses will treat you like you are lesser than them, so be careful with who you share information with.
